(I noticed that some people are posting spoilers for Q4 and FEAR. Well to me it makes no different as sometimes I like to know a little about what's about to happen, but to those of you who don't like spoilers reading these threads might spoil it for you (no pun intended). Anyway, I dug up an old thread of mine from the Far Cry days, and I.M.O.G. pointed out to me that if I change my font color to #333333 it is basically invisible to a reader unless they want to read it. So if you are posting spoilers you should change your font color to #333333. Again not really for me, but for those who don't want to know.)

I am assuming that being part of these forums you should be able to figure out what I just wrote above :).

Reccomendation: DO IT.

Although FWIW, the folks who spoiled Q4 for me saved me from having to beat it...so I don't feel bad concentrating on multiplayer :burn:

......... if you knew any better and it said SPOILER before posting... than why the heck read past it.. its your own dang fault if you read the part past where it says spoiler.

Yeah, but I noticed that some people were posting spoilers in the f.e.a.r. thread, and scrolling past it sometimes doesn't work. This way you make sure somebody who doesn't want to read won't, plus its not that hard to add the code to your text unless you're that lazy :)

posting in grey really is the best plan imo

thanks for finding out the color code, I forgot we can do the hex numbers as well. I tried to do it for the Doom movie thread but I ended up just making it hard enough that you either had to squint or highlight it.

Your post reminded me, don't quote spoilers or it will be seen. I don't know what the color code is for the quote boxes.

Black for the quote boxes? #000000?

Tested above, it's not quite black, but close. It's kind of hard, but you can compare the quote box to the background of the forums.

That's not a bad idea at all, Enigma. I personally feel that if a spoiler exists in a forum or posting, considering that word "spoiler" doesn't exist in title, that it should be in that stated font coloring. I mean what if there is other information that the reader wants to see and not the spoiler information? On the other hand, if a thread states spoiler in the title or first post of the topic, then readers should have responsibility to either read or not to read.
