Raidmax powersupplies are bad powersupplies.

Total junk. Had one of those as my main power supply at one time. Then the fans began dieing on me.

It's OK but weak if it's model number starts with "LD" and it looks like this inside:

Mine has black fans though and I dont know what it looks like inside.It's very light for a 420 watt psu :( Oh well it was free.

But will it continue to be free? By that I mean, what if it fails and damages your mobo or HD?

I'm cheap, but even I won't use a junk PSU.

To give it for free means it must have been pretty cheap to start with so I would say TOTAL JUNK. I think a power supply is one of the most overlooked parts sometimes. A real shame too.

It isn't that bad. Mine was gray with black fans though.

I did have to run it as my main for the longest time. It was either that or powmax.

At least the powmax is still running in a comp while the raidmax is toast with no operable fans.

Tell that to people who have all or part of a computer to these powersupplies. :rolleyes: I ran a codegen for a few months (an even trashier power supply), doesn't mean I was comfortable doing it. I don't trust any powersupply that fails the vandalism test. If you can through the powersupply at a window with minimal force, and the window doesn't break, it's a junk psu. :p

No. Switch out as fsat as possible.

It came with a case, right? I had one of those. its got 2 black yate loons, grey/silver case, silver grills, small PSU, light, yeah, its bad.

'Tis a good psu matey... if ye be lookin' fer a weight to anchor a corpse in the briny deep. Then again, tis light so it ain't good for that neither meanin' it just be junk.
