I just built my system, and when I boot, the RAM shows up as DDR400 instead of DDR500. Same thing in CPU-Z.
Do I have to modify its settings in the Genie BIOS in order for it to be detected as DDR500?

That's because your mobo is running on default HTT to conflict with your CPU multi.

If you want to run these at DDR500 and do stock CPU for now you will need to drop down your multi and set HTT yourself.

You have to overclock the system to get it up to 250MHz. Memory frequency is related to CPU bus frequency. You have to increase your FSB (HTT on A64) to 250MHz and set memory divider to 200 from BIOS.

There's nothing wrong with it, you just have to overclock it.
