watching a masterpiece that can be not so masterful...

I need help.
Well not in the way most people suggest I need but I move on:
I have a FF7 AC. Looks like a dream on my computer without directvobsub. But my uber machine has trouble with something. It is really hard to explain but; it seems that most of the time when the camera angle changes the texture for the new model is what was there before until the characters move.
I want subtitles but I want to see the product as it is meant to be. Any ideas?

Have you tried playing it in a normal DVD player? and here is a tutorial on how to add your own subtitles while keeping all the menus, special features, etc intact
