What is wrong with my computer, I just bought more memory,
second 256mb. Computer works otherwise fine but when I have
those two 256mb both attached, games, videos (media player),
3dmark etc. crashes instantly the computer. Both are fine, works
when there isn't the other 256mb attached, any ideas ? Some
problems with system.ini ?

(MSI K7T Turbo, AMD TB 1.33GHz, newest bios, WinME)

PS: Yes, those are identical, Apacer 256MB PC-133

do you hvae the RAM installed in bank 0 and 1?
try droping your memory speed in the BIOS to CAS3 see if that helps.
Also what is you Vio voltage?

About that bank I don't know, but cas 3 doesn't help and neither
does vio 3.3V or 3.45V. What that bank thing should be ?

Do you mean with bank = dimm slot ?

Had a similar problem with a Gigabyte board. If your BIOS has the option try setting the DRAM Read Latch Delay to a slower setting. With three 256Mb RAM in place I could only get stability with it set at the slowest speed 1.5ns.
This link explains all

Hope that solves it.

Probably very good idea, but only with one problem, MSI K7T Turbo's 'advanced chipset features' doesn't contain that kind of option :/

Really weird, Bank Interleave option appeared in bios (probably after 3.0 bios flash update). I thought it was worth trying for, so I put bank interleave enabled (and agp 4x disabled for a test), and what does happen, it works! Excellent.
btw, what does bank interleave do ?

Whatta ****, I just can't believe the reason why those two didn't work earlier, if the agp aperture size was larger than 128mb -> the computer won't work, weird :)
