tbird is your standard AMD athlon at .18 micron, the XP is the palomino which adds mainly SSE instructions ala pentium and a few other minor tweaks for lower temps and higher speeds, the MP is the same as the XP but its designed for SMP <presumably with tighter quality control, and they come factory multiplier unlocked where as the XPs have the big laser cuts in them. but its significantly more expensive than the XP

I own all of them, a 1.2 MP, 1.4 t'bird, and a 1.53 (1800+) XP, given the price difference If I could get all of my money back, and buy today it would be the MP. Three reasons, stability, features, and "unlocked-no-problem"

Well...... does XP has burn problems?

And does Athlon stop producing MP now?

By the way, I think Tbird is the heat right now so use it if you want!

Well... I would recommend XP right now since it will be the ruler of Palomino! But if MP speed = XP speed, then I would say MP!
