View Full Version : 12v pump on the market ?
are there any 12v pumps on the market ?
I think there are a few, unfortunatly all I can think of right now is car fuel pumps which are not recommended.
I've been using a Rule24 bilge pump. It's designed for 12v, but I run mine off the +5 line. Quieter that way, which was my main thing for water cooling to begin with.
is the "rule" submersible?
i'd like to setup an inline.

yup
I have a old one for a sink for a trailer that runs off 12v
but its 1500gph and is very stronge
it shoots just about as much water as a normal sink does
I think every bilge pump you're going to find is going to be submersible. My rule24 WAS submersible, but I took the filter off, and used some JB weld to put a 1/2" hose barb on the intake. Now it's inline :).

please dont get a bridge
the only are made to run for about 500 hours before they die
get a map-drive or some other cheap pump over the bridge
if your worryed about turning on and shutting off the pump when the computer goes off there are simple mods you can do to fix that
map-drive = Mag Drive
bridge = bilge
*correcting Spelling*

I agree get a 120v pump and do
the "relay mod".
By the way,

Warlord2, et. al.,
I didn't know that about bilge pumps. That is good advice, even if misspelled :p
I recently bought a nice sub pump with a lifetime warrentee. Got is at PetSmart mega store for $25.
That is the most expensive part of my system. I decided it was worth spending a little more on.
BJL;)
When it comes to water-cooling, I am a moron... I just keep putting more on.
