Hi need suggestions for a good P4 cpu fan.
Im getting a P4 1.7GHz with mainboard asus P4T socket 423 rambus. I'll try to clock the cpu to 2GHz or more if its stable. And I think I would be able to do with just a good fan/hs. Or how good is the stander hs/fan that intel ships ?

Any thoughts are welcome ! Thank You !

I've been thinking of TS Heatronics CPU Radiator Zen SCR325-2F
( See http://www.plycon.com/cpuzen.htm )
But I dunno if it works with P4 423?

i would really recommend going socket 478 as you wont be able to upgrade socket 423 too easily, a good heatsink is the Mc462-A which i believe does have mounts for a P4......

SDRAM? Noone mentioned that! Heh...just cause you have S478, doesn't mean that the board has SDR. DDR and Rambus boards are also available for Socket 478.

theflyinggrat is right
socket 478 isn't sdram ... ddr and rambus are compatible with p4 as long as ur running the boards

Personally if i were buying a P4 i would wait for the Sis645 DDR333 chipset, it ties or beats the i850 in most tests and is hella cheaper......
