Windows media player Library wont add songs on RAID drive?

I have been tinkering with WMP10 for a day and a half now. I am trying to add songs to the library by searching HD and monitoring folders. I have a file server with all my songs on it, and the WMP library wont add most of the songs. Only adds .wma files. This is the case with every computer on the network and the server itself (running winxp pro sp2 an all systems)
So like I said I did some tinkering. The songs are a part of a RAID 1 from an adaptec 1200a. If I copy the songs off that drive onto a regular drive (non raid) it adds all songs fine! I can even copy them to my JBOD (onboard DFI nf3 250) and it adds them. What does WMP have against RAID 1 or adaptec?

All drivers are updated.
Searched Microsoft knowledgebase.
Any Ideas?
