The console revision is SCPH-30001 R. I purchased it second hand two years ago from EB Games. They said the pervious owner traded it in after a month to get an XBOX, he had originally purchased it new. This system has had very little use (around 40-50 hours a year), and has been very well taken care of. It it shut off by the main power switch in the back after use, as well as covered up with a clean lint-free cloth to stop dust build up. It has always been used in the horizontal position - the natural position for the optical drive's laser.

The games included all have very light wear on them. Most of them were purchased second hand, but 99% of them were resurfaced before resell, so any really noticeable scratches were done while they were in my possession. FFX2 was purchased, but never opened, and is still shrink-wrapped.

Every disc I've put in it has worked flawlessly. This includes blue, sliver and black discs - PS2 DVD and CD games, as well as original Playstation games. Burned audio CDs from my PC are also recognized just fine. I cannot guarantee that every PS2 game out there will work with it though, considering these consoles are well known for disc read error issues.

I was thinking of asking $230 for it all, considering it works flawlessly with any discs I've used in it so far. Do you think I could possibly get more for it, or should I lower it? I won’t go to eBay with this because of all the Nigerian scammers that have been lurching around and placing false bids on tons of items.

I think it would be a little less since the next generation of consoles are coming out. Before reading what you said about it, and just seeing what all was included I thought about $200 would be fair. I'm not an expert or anything though. Good luck! :)

ive noticed lately that a lot more people are trying to unload ps2s and especially xbox's and 4th gen Ipods :o

as for trying to find a place to sell it either try the classifieds here or your local craigslist

Just a reminder that any sales must be made within the classifieds. Any sales of games must be included with the console.

Let's not turn this into a for-sale thread.

Erm, the pack includes the most basic of basic necessities. (Although, on a sidenote, I thought it was amusing that you'd never opened FFX-2. For fanboys and fangirls that dig the newer FF games, having FFX and FFX-2 together is a selling point. Maybe. Personally, I don't understand why anyone would want to play either.)

I'd have to agree with Bruce Lee. If I didn't already own a PS2, and because you have a few Metal Gear Solid games, I'd pay around $200. The thing I like most is that some of your games are paired with sequels/strategy guides.

On the contrary, I'd probably consider putting it up on eBay. Even if there are a few deadbeat buyers, you're selling quite a popular bundle. What *is* for sure is that trading it in for credit at a videogame store is a bad idea. You never really get your penny's worth that way. That is, unless you're all about the spirit of giving.

But hey, man. It's up to you. Good luck.

I sold my PS2 with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Def Jam: Vendetta, and 4 controllers on eBay in September 05. I got $100 for it.

My recommendation is to go EBAY. You got me thinking about selling my PS2 so i wanted to see the going rates. A standalone system was going for $70 while i saw one bundled package with 24 games going for $230. So i see no reason you can't get close to what you are asking for. I definitely recommend not going to a used game shop or you will be lucky enough to have money to buy lunch at McDonalds with when you leave there.
