Recently warcraft 3 and the frozen throne stopped working. I put the CD in and click on the icon and the menu will open but it will say " the CD can't be found, please check the disk and try again" but other games like fs2004 and doom3 will run fine, my CD isn't scratched or anything, please help.

Have you tried a reinstall?

I've already reinstalled it twice after it stopped working

If that error message is from Windows, it's likely that the CD drive is bad. Sorry.

No, not necessarily and in fact if you actually read the post you would see that he indicated the cd drive is still functioning perfectly well ("I reinstalled it twice"). I suggest you make sure there are no smudges on the disc that may be preventing it from reading the copy protection data. That failing, just go download a bitperfect bin of it off the internet (or try making one yourself with CCD) and mount it using D-TOOLS or some other similar software. You could also try deleting the cd drive in device manager and rebooting (windows will automagically reconfigure it). Another possibility is that some sort of filter got wedged in the driver stack which is preventing the copy-protection data from being transmitted to the games mechanism. You can look for this by going to device manager -> cd drive - > properties - > details - > find upper & lower filters in list. Only thing that should be listed is redbook (upper) & imapi (lower), else you have some drm scheme or some nonsense bull**** mucking around with the device. In many cases it is difficult to fix such problems although uninstalling & reinstalling it may alleviate the issue.

I believe you can get a patch for that version with a NO-CD Fix (From blizzard) as I Used to run it..
