hows this upgrade?

im running on a 6600gt and feel like i need to upgrade. i was looking at the 7800gt and was wondering if it is a significant and recommendable upgrade. also is it better than the x800 series and the 6800 ultra or just a midranged card?

The 7800GT is better than the x8xx series as well as the 68xx. As far as it being a worthwhile upgrade, that depends more on what you do. Do you game? What resolution? How do you feel about your current performance?
