I'm looking for a small mp3 app that doesn't take up much memory when it's running. This will be for an mp3 server running on an old Pentium computer so it needs to not take up much CPU or memory.
 
I think a stripped down version of winamp will do. VLC can also play mp3's and takes very little space but i don't know how it will work with servers.
 
Get an older version of Winamp. I still use 2.81 on my comp (I think they're up to 5.something now). It basically just has mp3 playback features and doesn't support video and all that other stuff that the new versions feature. You can find pretty much any version of it here:

Definately the way to go. I'm still using 2.7 or 2.8, can't remember which.
 
Foobar is a great choice, Winamp is also, good. If you lookiing for a less resource hog though Foobar would be the way to go, it may not be as "pretty" as some of the other players, but it works great.
