SVC has some Round IDE cables for a cheap price and I haven't heard anything bad about them from all the people here on the boards. Here is a link (http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/nsearch?catalog=svcompucycle&query=Round+IDE) to a search for 'Round IDE' on their site. I'd say that under $4 for cables are good (considering I spent $7 before I knew about these :()

What PSU do you have... it sounds like that's the culprit. Mine jumps around a little (but not that much) and that's because I have a PSU that a friend wasn't using.

well, i'm not really instread in spending 200usd for a psu.... are we 100% sure it's the psu causing the voltage jumps?

Im not sure about "we" but I think its a possibility. Take a multimeter and check the rails. Tell us what they read.......please.

Ok. Now I'm Looking For A Set Of Inline Temp Monitors So I Can Monitor Before CPU And After Cpu Temps And Before Rad And After Rad Temps. Where Can I Find Some?

I'm Trying To Get This Thing To Run About 80F Under 100% Load.

I really think it's the power supply causing the problem... just get a 500W Fortron Blue Storm (~$70-80 from newegg), and it'll cool that CPU off a lot. Prescotts run hot as it is, and a PSU with voltages jumping all over the place will only make it hotter. As for a temp monitor, I'd say xoxide.com would be your best bet.

how about a 2nd psu? i have an old external scsi enclouser with a 150w psu. i bet i could remove the little psu off the enclosure and transplant it into the case to run all the wc/lights i have a small project box i turn into a power box. All My Lights And Pump, And Rad Fans Plug Into It. Could This Be An Idea?

Very practical. Many people/modders have done so.

I have a seperate box with a second PS and fan controller in it; as it sits inside one of my desk drawers, it makes my case look (and sound) a little better.

Heres A Question, Can I Put The Pump After The Cpu Block?
ShellMaza
01-18-06, 06:37 AM
Reason: Shorter Tubes....
Heat From Pump Is Not Indirect Contact... MEaning The Heat From The Pump Gets Cooled By The Core Before It Even Touches Water Blocks
Example Attached..

Changing the order of devices in the loop rarely makes a noticable change. Most of the effect of whatever changes you make would have more to to with the tubing paths than it would which comes first or last in the loop.

Well Instread Of Pushing Liquid Into The Blocks, I'll Be Pulling And The Tub Lenght Will Be Allmost In Half.... I Believe I Read Some Where If The Time To Travel From A To B, Will All Improve Temps..
