I do like making up buzz-words. Seriously though...

I am about to stick me a nice duct into the side of my case right above the cpu in the hopes of dropping temps a couple degrees. Eventually ill duct right from the window, but for now just from ambient. I also have a small fan (the one that comes with the Tasiol 760 when you buy it) that would fit into the duct with some...modification...(heh).

My question is is it worth the extra hassle of puttin this fan into the duct (ie will it interfere with the hsf or not...)

Ta.

Using a fan on each end of the duct should give you increased airflow. You'll notice that the RPM of each fan is higher when used this way than it would be if used alone.

the duct is a nice moulded type so a fan on each end is difficult, but I do have an 80mm Sunon lying around somewhere...

It would be outputting very close to the hsf, which probably aint a good idea?

outputting close to the hsf? I guess I'm not getting the picture, I thought you had the hsf on one end of the duct...

Ok, here's what I have. I have 3 inch dryer hose attached to my 60mm hsf in a reasonably airtight way. I then convert the 3 inch hose to 4 inch and attach that to an 80mm case fan in a reasonably airtight way. So the effict is an airtight tube with a fan on each end. One fan is atttached to the heatsink, the other is attached to the back of my case. Here's a picture.

How close is that to what you've got?
