Please help me re-find this unusual Power Supply! I KNOW I’ve seen reviews at LEAST three times, but now I can’t find it anywhere.

This beast starts out as an SLI capable power supply with permanently attached “main” cable and THREE sockets for modular cables.
The first two sockets each take a cable for a SLI video card. So far, not much different from most modular PSU’s.

But now the fun starts.
The third remaining cable is designed to run to either of two “modular break-out boxes”.
The first (and larger) breakout box fits in a 5 ¼” drive bay. It has the one cable from the PSU feeding it and eight (?) available sockets to feed hard drives, DVD’s, case fans or whatever.

The second “break-out box” is a little guy just big enough to have four available sockets to take modular cables.
From the photos I’d say it’s about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

Somebody else here MUST have seen it too!
Please let me know where you saw it – It’d be perfect for my new P180 case.

I believe you are talking about the new modular set up from ThermalTake. There was a thread here about it. I will try and dig it up....

Here's the thread:

There is a link there to the PSU.
Good luck.

YES, that's IT!

Thanks for the lead, rseven!

I really don't know what anybody trying to build PC's would do without forums like this! :santa:
