why can't i get more fps out of my ge2 and 1.7ghz

whenever i run a racing game or halflife my fps never gets over thirty, i need to know if there is a website that goes into details about the newer mobo and p4 and if maybe the compatability of my video card is in question. any suggestions would be helpful

Not sure if it would have any information regarding your specific hardware, but GeForceFAQ.com (http://www.geforcefaq.com) is probably the most comprehensive collection of GeForce information on the internet.

Check there, they may even have links to more info for you...just be patient because they have alot of stuff to read.

Are you running in software mode? Put it in OpenGL if it's not.
