Hello, I would like to upgrade to 1GB dual channel on my ASUS A7N8X, but I don't know which one is the best choice between a 2xVS512MB400 (1GB total) or a VS1GBKIT400 (1GB as well). They are both form Corsair, and both share lifetime warranty but it seems that for socketA is better to put more attention on the latency. Which kit goes better with my mobo/processor combination?
I don't really care about going above 400MHZ because I have a mobile athlon (2400+), so even if I leave the multiplier as it is I will have a 3400+ 3600+ processor, which is more the enough for I do.
The question is, which kit is able to reach the lowest possible timings?

Thank You.

I have a dual channel kit of the VS512MB400 stuff and as long as you want to run 200mhz it runs great. It does what it said it would do and it was stable, I really couldn't ask for anything more from value ram. Timings at 200fsb are 2.5-3-3-7 stable, that's respectable in my opinion especially for the money.

What is the voltage You are using? Have You tested the modules with memorytest or other software?

yeah, decent stuff for the money. i've used the same stuff in a couple of dual processor power mac G5s at my work and a power mac G4, it works fine in pretty much every computer i've tried.
