Might this be a motherboard issue?

I have been having this issue with my drives, regardless of what channels they are on.

Lastly, does anyone have any advice on particularly good BIOS settings for this baord?

Ok, here is what I have, 120MM input behind the two hard drives, 120MM output on the back of the case. Its an antec tower. I dont really have any cooling for the drives, the DVD drive is in the top slot and CDRW in the 2nd to bottom slot, so they are spaced out.the PSU does make a lot of heat that has nowhere to go up there which could explain the problem.

hmm, well I dont have wood, or a ran, dorm again, but I do have a window and a lot of cold air ourside. I'll try that.
