I'm assuming it's okay to post good experiences with ebayers in here. If I'm wrong, please break only the *left thumb. :)

I ordered a P3 1.1 from Rick Culleton (ebay id: austin-tejas) a couple of weeks ago. Ordered it through email instead of through ebay (sold out of the online units). Received the processor quickly, but it was dead. After only one email, he said he'd be glad to exchange it. DOA processor went out USPS last Wednesday and the new one arrived today (Monday), AND there was a fiver in the box to reimburse me for shipping the unit back.

If you're ebaying, check this guy out. Square dealer, I'd say.

Got my chip in from him last week as well. Got what I ordered although it looked to be slightly used...some goop was over the surface of the chip and some of the pins were bent but was still in good shape after I cleaned it up.

Dealing with him person-to-person was the best I've ever encountered. I needed a specific voltage chip for my VP6 and he made sure I got what I asked for. All emails were returned quickly. Shipping was Priority mail via USPS which, although slow and no tracking number, is insured by default.

Chip wouldn'y overclock like I hoped (get 1.2GHz out of my other cD0) but hey, he can't guarantee that.

Definately worth buying from, I'll agree.

P.S.

That's rad he reimbursed you for the shipment back. Not many will do that.

Mine was used also. Don't know what the goop on yours looked like, but mine was a few dried pieces of something that looked like putty. Had a bent pin on both this one and the bad one, too. The packaging left something to be desired, but this one works so I can't complain. The five-spot in the box WAS a nice touch. :)

I'm getting ready to start bumping my FSB. Should know how it's starting by tomorrow night (post-Ghost).
