avatar creation

I screwed up and read the avatar sticky too late. in the general discussion forum. Anyways it is time I get me a spiffy new techno avatar.....

Anyone recomend on how to go about this process - software wise ect., or better yet! willing to hook me up?

Ulead (http://www.ulead.com) is the place to start. They do a spiffy proggie called GIF Animator 5. There is a 15 day free trial of the full version available to d/l from their site, along with the manual as a pdf file.

They also have a 3D Text animator, Cool 3D, which creates all sorts of text effects, whaich can be saved as GIF files, and transferred to GIF Animator 5.

Combine these with a Paint application (I use PSP 7, but Photoshop or similar is just as good) and you're ready to rumble.....

I'm going to start some tutorials in this thread to share the knowledge........:)

same here, U leads products are cool, and user friendly too... though the version I use doesn't come with the GIF animator, so I use Paint Shop Pro's Animation Studio instead....:)
