would I be able to change the multiplier in the bios of a motherboard without having to do anything to the bridges on the 1.2ghz T-bird?
I have yet to hear of a 1.2 gig 266 that was locked. You should not have to do anything to allow you to change the multilplier. Should work great right out of the box.

sweet! thanks for the FAST reply!
Was hoping to know before I went to bed.
Building my aunt a computer. And instead of buying a Duron 800 for like 40 or 50 bucks.. I rather sell her my 1ghz T-bird for 40 or 50 bucks.. and get my self a 1.2ghz for 85 bucks and be able to overclock it without having to do anything to the bridges.
