Ok, I've decided to go watercooling and was wondering which radiator performs better or if I would notice a difference, the stock radiator that comes with the apex extreme kit or a black ice extreme 2. I plan on running the storm block, mcp655, danger den maze 4 gpu block, and a fill-t all with 1/2id tubing. The question is would I be better to wait and buy a kit from performancepc for 200 dollars and add the t, gpu block, or just piece it all together now. I would be looking at about 40 dollars less for the kit, so is the black ice extreme worth the extra $$$ over the 2fan radiator in the kit? I also may be adding a second 7800 in the distant future. :shrug:also is the 7/16id tubing in the kit good or should I buy the 1/2id tygon?

I haven't checked out the Apex kit, but I bought an almost identical setup with a Storm/MCP600 and the Black Ice Extreme 2 keeps my temps near ambient. With my 3000+ I was running as low as 24 C idle/28 C load with ambient around 22 C.

thanks for the input, the only thing that makes me hesitant about the apex radiator is that it comes with 3/8" barbs so I don't know if it will perform well with 2 7800gtx's and the cpu block

it comes with 3/8ths THREADS, you can add whatever barbs you want...

I realize that but thought that it might restrict flow more than one designed with 1/2" barbs?

Nope, should not amount to much of a difference if any..

thanks, looks like I'll just wait for the kit to come back in stock.
