File copy transfer display?

hey, this is a really weird question, and i dont understand why exactly why im asking it. what im hoping to find out is whether or not ther is some sort of addition to windows is some way or another, be it program, script or what have you that displays the transfer speed between drives when copying files. ie moving a cd img between my storage hd and my os hd.

i doubt there is anything, but i was just transfering 40 gigs of files, and i wonderd what the data transfer rate was...

size / time = speed
