Anyone have good input on this? I have an Audigy 2 Zs in this system. I'm building a new system and will most likely sell this one. Should I use this Card or spend $120. on an X-Fi ExtremeMusic ?
future thanks for the input!
I vote use the Audigy 2zs. No particular reason, I just can't see justifying the cost of spending $130 on a new X-Fi when to my ears they sound just the same :). However, if your big into sound being perfect, the go for it.
I love my Audigy 2 and probably use it for years to come.
Yes, if you have A2ZS i wouldn't run out for the latest and greatest unless you are really big on sound and have the amp and speakers that will reflect the improvement. For most PC sound systems you would not really get much improvement for your money.

well I love good sound...but I'm no "Audiophile" I think the Audigy 2 ZS has awesome sound. SO I think maybe I will just keep it....thanks for the help in deciding that! :)
what is your purpose of using sound card for?

well for my computer to be able to produce sound, of course :) j/k!
I use my computer for Gaming, Internet, school work, and listening to music (MP3's), etc....
So...for Gaming...I'm looking for 5.1 sound...and for MP3 listening...I love the options the Audigy gives for stereo upmixing (I usually just do dual stereo for extra volume :) )... I think I've been convinced that I will just keep my Audigy 2 ZS ....if ever, in the future, I feel like I'm missing out on something I'll upgrade (hey by then they will be a little cheaper too!)
Yeah I think you should keep your Audigy 2 too since you don't do much of anything else.

Spend the extra $$$ on a better video card or something. Or pizza. Lots and lots of pizza. ;-)

Well, yeah, if you eat enough of it, you'll take it with you everwhere you go and you might get several years out of it. You never know when you might get caught in a blizzard and need the extra warmth or might be trapped somewhere with no food for a few days and need the nourishment. :p
