lost bookmarks in firefox

hello

Firefox is upsetting me. I had a problem last nite that it would not responde to me an it would not open up after ab hour of running it. It asked me to setup an accout for default user and I entered a second one. I lost all of my bookmarks and I found half of them on my hd but cant locate the rest. Any Ideas?

your bookmarks and other account are still there and the problem can be fixed the only thing is... i carn't remember how! :/
