playstation 2 on audigy 2 zs?

can i hook my ps2 up to my sound card and get sound out through my headphones? i'm getting it tuesday i think and i want to know before i get it. thanks

also... your question is unclear, im not sure what you are trying to do.

If as i thik ur asking you wana do this:

PS2 ---> sound OUT ----> PC soundcard line in ---> PC headphones line out

then no, too much trouble, find an adapter to go from PS2 ---> Sound Output ---> Headphones

Some PS2's ... the new mini ones at least have USB ports, im not sure if it will work, but maybe a USB set of headphones... although i would be good money sony didnt think of this use for those ports.

Otherwise you have the Red and White right and left audio that goes to your TV, not exactly the easiest thing to send to the comp, or to an adapter for headphones.

umm.. i want to hook up the two ps2 sound cables to my soundcard and have the sound come out my headphones. not sure how to get more clearer than that.

Run the sound out of your PS/2 into the line-in of your sound card. (make sure the line-in is not muted, and adjust the volume) This should let you play it through your speakers, headphones, whatever. Just like anything else on your PC.

I'm not familiar with the PS2, what kind of audio plugs does it have? I'm guessing regular left/right RCA plugs. In which case you'd need to run to Radio shack and get a convertor to a 1/8" stereo plug for your sound card.

If you have the decoder box to go with your audigy you can then use the IR port on the back of the PS2.

hmm. i don't really want to spend more money after what i just bought.. i guess i can just use the headphones on my tv. thanks for the help
