View Full Version : Low score in 3DMark 2001 Help!

the system specs are :-
Pentium 4 1.5 with and Abit BL7 Motrherboard
256mb pc133 memory
Geforce2 Mx-400 64mb graphics card

when i run 3Dmark 2001 I get 10fps and my final score is 300-512
my drivers are 14.70 det drivers

help i have no idea why my score is so low.

dude no offense but my tnt2 m64 gets about a score of about 850 and i get about 45-50fps in quake 3!! but i guess that doesnt matter cuz im trying to help you so here it is:

go to bios make sure 4X agp is on
go to bios make sure the apeture size is 128megs
go to bios and make sure vidoe ram cacheable is off
go to bios and make sure video bios shadow is off
go to bios, findout what ur mem can handle and go to the fastest setting.

ill give u more settings later...

Those were some good suggestions.

Start by using the 12.90 drivers. Very few bugs and decent performance.

Make sure your VIA drivers (assuming you're using their chipset on your motherboard) are updated to at least 4.29

I think that GeForce drivers above 10.xx are optimized for DirectX8, might consider installing that if you haven't already done so. Even though MX cards don't usually score well at 3Dmark2001, those are terrible scores and something is wrong. Maybe you're having a driver conflict. It's important to completely remove all traces of any old video drivers before installing new drivers. Go to 3D Guru website and download that driver destroyer to help you out.

That's really weird....

That is way wrong.. Get the new drivers for your card :) Newest one possible and check if its actually decent...

I never remembered getting that low in 3dmark 2001 with my GF2MX 32mb Pure I believe I got something like 1.5K
