hey guys just got a bit of an issue with my new system and am wondering if anyone can help.
I just set up a new computer ; AMDx2 4400, 2x 7800GTs, 2gb ocz pl EB ram, 2x wd raptors in raid, 1x wd 200gb sata2 hdd, soundblaster soundcard, Asetek watercooling kit, 2x dvd burners and 3x 120mm fans on a DFI infinity motherboard.
I had a Antec truepower2 550w eps PSU and during my overclocking with mediocre voltage increases it decided to stop working. I then thought maybe i need more power so bought a thermaltake 680w psu which handled the cpu overclocking without a hitch however when i started to overclock the vid cards it decided to stop working halfway thru a 3dmark05 test as well.
Now im wondering if it may be my system asking for too much from the PSUs or maybe just bad power comming out of the wall socket. has anyone had this sort of expirience before with high end PSUs and if so what was the solution? I have a PC Power & Cooling 510 on its way and im wondering wether it will handle my system or if i should perhaps invest in a UPS with AVR.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
