this is what i wanna do. take off the two side panels, and put dynamat on them. now, i am curious whether or not dynamat is a good/bad heat conductor. if it doesn't make yer temp go up at all or minimally, i'm gonna get some. has anyone tried to use this product? please gimme some feedback. this is a process i am looking into doing sometime this weekend. Thanx
i can hear my pc from almost any room in the house....WOW

Dynomat, Rockford Fosgate Punchmat and other accoustic are insulators which is proven by the fact that Rockford Fosgate also sell a heat refelective version of its Punchmat product.
The matting works by changing the frequency at which an item vibrates and as such is a damping product. This product will also add exceptional weight to the PC
A much better bet imho is noise blocker from Rockford Fosgate which is a spray with good acoustic properties

get the dynamat. Its GREAT stuff. Currently that is what i have in my case. If you have good cooling, you shouldnt need to worry about case temps increasing.

The only place i found locally (rochester, ny) that sells dynamat in 4'x4' squares has only Dynamat Extreme. for like 23bux. I am going to put it on the 2 side panels, possibly the bottom. whatever is left over, can go in my trunk to calm down my stereo rattle...everyone wins!!
one question...if my delta banshee-fan (boeing jet engine clone) whines high pitch, this stuff will diminish that? so the fan whine is not caused by the fan? but by vibration? cool :D :D
I "dynamated" my case not to long ago.
Pros
It works. My pc is noticably quieter
It works as a nice gasket for fans
Cons
My pc ways 40 friggin pounds!!!
It STINKS!!!
It's a b!tch to get off.
I wouldn't recommend it. I would go a light weight option or a spray.
