I'm down 2.4Ghz of folding power since the switch to 2.1. My work machines can no longer accept work. They connect but won't get a wu. I'm no network genius (or even a sub-genius) so does anybody have any suggestions?

Benchmarking ...
Trying to send all finished work units
+ Attempting to get work packet
- Connecting to assignment server
- Successful: assigned to (13.10.171.64).
+ News From Folding@Home: ߾Welcome to 2.0
- Connecting to server (13.10.171.64) on port 8080
+ Connection established
+ Requesting work
Network send failure: status = 0
- Error: Getwork failed -1, and no other work to do
Sleeping for about 5 minutes then retrying

It will do that for hours on end....

Here (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41376&highlight=binding) is a thread that offers some insight (except the part about going to SETI :p .

Basically, I'd check your network settings on a machine that works vs. one that does not.

That problem has been addressed in the updated version that they are working on. There were some other problems created because of it but they did manage to get it to work. There are only a couple of people working with that particular client to help work the remaining bugs out of it though. IOW look for an updated version in the coming weeks that may allow you to get those machines up and folding. :)

Fair enough. I had read about the binding of CMSN with TCP/IP and I know how to do that with 98/2000 but these machines are running NT4 and I'm lost. I'll hang in there for the next fix and hope I can get back up to full speed. Thanks.
