View Full Version : P4 watercooled temp...
hi all i was just wondering if 37-38C idle was a good temp being watercooled if it is overclocked from 1.7-1955 and the voltage is 1.85v? because according to MBProbe it idles at 37-38c and full loads at 44-45c..i have 2 120mm fans on my cube radiator as well, mazeP4 and eheim 317gph pump.thanks in advance :)
*edit*
another thing i have found is after i have been gaming for an hour or more once i get out my idle never really gets quite back down to 37c idle it normally hangs at around 40 idle after that while sirfing the net...

hum... my rig runs MAX 39C at FULL load. (folding for hours, gaming, etc...) never gets to 40's.
im also just alpha cooled. i actually only have 1 fan in right now, in addition to my HSF. you might wanna get that checked out. thats pretty hot.
i know..and i cannot figure out what to believe my digi doc which is touching the side of my chip says it is at 25.1c! and my MBProbe which is reporting from the internal sensor inside the cpu is reporting 38c! somehting is very wrong here..

hum, i dont know too much about your board, but it might have built in "compensation". meaning it compensates (makes the temp higher) becuase it cant feasibly measure the inside of the chip.
also, which part of the chip are you touching? the actual die, or just the packaging?
i am only touching the side of the packaging with the digidoc sensor because even though it is flat i cannot just put it between the cpu and waterblock..
