Hey guys,

Putting together an intel box for my brother and I need a cheap 775 mobo that will do a bit of overclocking. No need for PCI-E or DDR2. Any ideas ? I'm the king intel noob

Check the classy's you can find aome cheap used boards there.

The AS8 when modded is a good board however umodded I would have to go with the DFI 875p-t the AS-8 just doesn't overclock nearly as far.

If you don't require DDR2 or PCI-E, then the Abit AS8 or Asus P5P800 will suit your needs.

Ditto there. Excellent board for the money. The P5P800SE has hit too, it has support for the dual cores now.
