Has anyone got any tips on how to read whats written on the clock generator because try as i might i cant read it

You're looking at your clockgen ?? Use a magnifying glass. Printing is pretty danged small, isn't it ?

Those of us "40-something" overclockers always have a magnifying glass handy for working on the innards of our computers. Dang, I hate getting old.

I don't hate gettin' old, kinda like the experience. It's the wear and tear on the vehicle that stinks :D
