my friend's Laing DDC (MCP350) has stalled for the second time, pump is warmer than normal. To restart, he pluged it in while PS on, pump starts back up. Cpu temps return to normal. Dtek Whitewater, BIX 1, DDC, clearflex 60.
Twice now this happened, any one know what what is going on? Any fixes?

maybe its working to hard
I have had 2 mcp350s fail the way you described. When it worked it worked great, but sometimes it would not start unless 'motivated'. The issue appears to be the power-on. Perphaps the circuitry just doesn't provide enough juice to get it going. Swiftech replied to me with a statement that said some of the 350s are defective. They didn't get into it any further that that, except for sending a replacement. With both pumps exhibiting these problems within days of receiving them, I can only feel safe to use them on test setups. Don't get me wrong, many people see great results and worryfree operation, just letting you know that you are not alone.
