2k3 is SERVER software, active directory, dns, dhcp etc etc... Not really recommended for desktop use. You can, but it takes serious configuring to get it right. XP is workstation OS...

Tks Nik!

reason I ask 'cos I'm thinking to host mulitple web site on my server. and the IIS from xp pro only support 1 site! I've heard the only way beside using Apache is upgrade to Server 2003 (or something like that ver. of Windows). I could only use IIS 'cos my friend told me in order to serve asp.net, IIS is the way to go instead of Apache....

Web edition will do all of your web hosting but will not run SQL, Exchange, or any of the AD components. The nice part is that it cost less than $400 which is not bad at all. Dell was selling it on new systems for about $260.

IIS6 is makes webhosting a breeze.
