On Aria.Co.Uk there selling this card for £50 I'm in need for a sound card to take the strain off my CPU since it's OCed. Is this better than onboard sound I have £50 spare I've ordered my new PSU which is a Hiper 580w and a new G.Card a 6800GT Ultra 256mb.
So A sound card might help the CPU a little is this a good card thou.
the card is good, and it is a definite improvement over on board audio. Dont know how much strain onboard audio really has, but i doubt much at all.
I pretty much second that. It will take a little off the CPU but not enough to notice. It also depends on the kind of onboard chip you have as well. Some are more efficient than others, but in any event it should improve your sound.
