first off, sorry if this isn't the best place to ask but does anyone know of an app that can compare two different video files? i have a duplicate file that is 32mb larger than the other and i can't seem to find any difference other than size (video+sound+length all seem the same). furthermore, they're both mpg so i can't use g-spot. help?
sorry dont know of any programs, except maybe virtualdub.
In such cases, as in audio files, i usually just keep the larger of the two files.

minor update: somehow, the smaller file plays everything slightly faster than the larger one -and surprisingly, thusly covers about a half second more video than the other... i discovered this by matching screenshots. very odd. has anyone ever heard of technology that does this? i suppose somehow random frames were cut throughout the film and the audio reworked to match the video because the image quality is EXACTLY the same. despite covering more microseconds of film, the smaller video ends with a blank or black screen. i could try to discover the enhanced rate at which the smaller file plays but that would be pointless unless someone has a use for such info...
