I was thinking of using glass for a small resavor about 5x5x3 and plexiglass is expensive and they dont sell it thick enough in my town

does anyone know if you can do this?

the pump will not be in it so I think it would be strong enough

what glues should I try if I attempt this?

its a good brainstorm,
You might want to bolt the pieces together
and use some kind of sealant in-between.

You will not have a problom if you put the
pump inside, as long as you bolt it.
Is it inline or sub?
I am assuming it is inline.

yea its a inline mag-drive

cool I think I will give it a try thin

I dont think I can use screws sense the glass I got is only about 1/8" thick

maybe bj weld the corners and put some silicone for everything else?

Good idea!

Building your own glass reservoir can not only help you get the reservoir size and shape you need but also look very cool! Not to mention make it easier to spot water levels.

You can easily build your own tank/reservoir. Here is a link from an experienced aquarium builder:

DIY Aquarium Building (http://www.aquariacentral.com/diy/diytanks.shtml)

Your 1/8" glass should be perfect. Sounds like all you really need is 100% Silicone glue. I bet this would look alot nicer than epoxy.

Post some pictures as soon as you can!

Good Luck,
BJL;)

Be careful if you are going to cut the glass,
dont want any broken system expirements. ;)

And YES,
If you have a digital cam. POST PICS!!!

think I will just use pvc pipe=/

its alot easyer and I changed my mind on the location of the resavor to fit a pvc pipe

someone else should try this though it would make a good expirement
