Looking for an email server program, not Exchange

There's a bunch of email server programs around but can't really find any reviews about them. I want to create a simple email server that's easy to use and have the ability to backup emails and access via the web. Exchange is way out of my price range, looking for something in the $200-$100 area.

Well, I'm trying the trial version of Magic Winmail Server and so far it's not bad, still trying to get the webmail to work though.
