Hi,
here at work i have started to use VMWare and it is a really useful and powerfull application.

I have been thinking about it and I will install it at home as well, I think I will use it to test software before I use it etc. and also install Linux again for testing and fun.

Good think is you can make images when you want of your virtual PC too so you can restore the Image of a Virtual Machine to any state you want (like when you installed it etc).
Guys check it out if you havent already.

I use it for beta testing of OS'es and linux when I want to get away from windows for awhile. I need to get windows x64 or server 2003 x64 installed so I can use the new 64 bit guest OS feature in v5.5, I also like the dual processor feature in it (haven't used it but it's nice to know it's there).

yeah but kinda useless if you cant create your own virtual machines:

VMware Player is free software that enables PC users to easily run any virtual machine on a Windows or Linux PC. VMware Player runs virtual machines created by VMware Workstation, GSX Server or ESX Server and also supports Microsoft virtual machines and Symantec LiveState Recovery disk formats.
