My xp decides to run chkdsk on one of the hard drives (not system) everytime I reboot :bang head and never finds an error, how to get this stop?

Do you have an Anti-Virus installed at all ? I know avast does this for sure if some settings are misplaced. If so maybe you can find a setting somewhere in your AV app.

try this start/programs/acessories/system tool/scheduled task and see if anything is being scheduled and delete it I guess

This seems to happen to me if another OS mounts the partition in between windows boots (even if it's read only). I just manually skip it.

You can try and at your run box
type: cmd
then into your prompt type:
chkntfs /?
and look at your options, you can reset all to default or exclude a drive, the problem one. May not work but worth a try
