This question is related to one of my previous posts:

Can I just add a Raptor drive, not raided of course, to my current system without having to re-install windows?
I'm not trying to sound noobish or anything, but I just want to know if it can be done. I know I would have to re-install anything I wanted to run. Ie: Games, programs ect.

Thanks

if you want to add it as a secondary drive, then you dont have to reinstall windows. Just hook it up.

Just making it clear, all I do is hook it up and install whatever on it and I'm good to go? No OS required?

Ex: Hook up raptor drive, install Battle Field 2, and play?

I know if I want windows to run faster I need to install in on the raptor. I will do that soon, I just wanna check it out now.

Thanks

Correct, your OS is already going to boot from the 80GB hard drive. Just plug the raptor in and you should be set for bf2.

Yeah, thx

I plugged the raptor in, but forgot to put it on SATA channel 2. So when I booted up, windows started and then I got a blue sceen sayin there was an error and windows has been shut down. But after changing SATA 1 and SATA 2 around, it booted right up. Then I ran diskmgmt.msc and set it up from there.

Thx every1
