How to get uncompress video

I want to copy stuff from my video camera to my computer through my ati vivo card, what is a good program to do this without compressing the video so I can do that later? Also does anyone have any good instructions?

If you have Video for Windows drivers on your VIVO, try using VirtualDub in capture mode. I know it works with my USB webcam but I don't know about ATI cards. It offers a comprehensive range of input capture settings though.
