Picking MB based on Chipset

Im currently running a 550 on a i865p chipset (p5p800-asus)

There site shows it being non compatible with the 8xx series, so im currently looking for a motherboard chipset that is compatible with both. I have seen some 865 that are compatible, but would it be 915? or not?

Cant decide which motherboard to get, as long as it can use both the 5xx series, the 6xx and the 8xx series. Im satisified. Currently im not needed a "monster" of a motherboard. Just something stable to use to get me past christmas. Please offer your best suggestion while looking around the $75-$100 range, f thats even possible.

945 or 955. With your range I would says 945. I got my board as a refurb for 90$ of newegg

Any reccomendations on specific boards? can be refurb or non. Im looking for stability, maybe some overclocking abilities.
