I plop in my power dvd disc and get a nice error from windows stating it cannot install ikernel.exe (0x10000)
Ive done a lot of googling on this subject and have come up with no luck. now i have a super clean registry, super zippy windows install, but still no power dvd for my asus dvd rom drive.
i can install anything else off my hard drive, but the asus software refuses to play nice apparently.
Im running XPpro sp 2. all the articles i read were for sp1 that wanted me to get this hotfix, which sure enough doesnt work for sp2. ah bleh. im this close to formating again anyway, to try out a raid array on this rig. would LIKE to fix this problem, because frankly, im too lazy to reinstall windows atm.
