so my "(Standard CD-ROM drives)" cd burner isnt working...when i try to burn a CD using any software the disc doesnt burn correctly and ends up unusable...my drivers are up to date according to microsoft, i tried to roll them back *incase they were somehow updated without me knowing and that update screwed them up*...but it said there was nothing to rollback to.. heres NERO's log for when i try to burn a disc...

what drive might help as well as if you have updated the firmware, does it do this with all disks, have you tried another. I have only gotten that error with a bad disk

yes ive tried about 20 disks over the last half year...none of them have worked..what do you mean "what drive" when i look in the device manager it says "(Standard CD-ROM drives)"..and i have no idea where to get updated firmware because im unaware of a "standard cd-rom drives" company....dell needs to stop being gay and lose the intel processors and start making decent computers

in device manager the drive is titled HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-84838
