Let me preface by saying I am not an overclocker, and all my hardware runs stock speed, and I don't plan on OC'ing this memory...
I just purchased Kingston HYPER X 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2x512MB HyperX DDR Memory Kit - 184Pin (http://shop3.outpost.com/product/3746176?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG) I currently have 2x512MB PC3200 chips in there (don't ask what brand cus I don't know)... and before I drop these new HyperX chips in I want to run a memory test for preformance and errors, then I also want to run a test after I've plopped the HyperX's in to see a difference...
I know I should use memtest86+ for errors, but what application should I use to see preformance ?
Also, I've read around that it's good to do a burn-in on new memory chips, What application do I use to do this ?
Is this even necessary if I am not Oc’ing ?
How can I make sure I don't burn-in the chips that are already in my comp (the non-hyperX chips)?
Here is what SiSoftware's Sandra told me about the memory already in my comp:
< Memory Module 1 >
Model: 88F5HDL0-1UDG
Type: 512MB DDR-SDRAM
Technology: 16x(32Mx8)
Speed: PC3200U 3.0-3-3-8
Version: 1.1
Date of Manufacture: Wednesday, November 14, 2159
Set Timing @ 200MHz: 3.0-3-3-8
Set Timing @ 167MHz: 2.5-3-3-7
Set Timing @ 133MHz: 2.0-2-2-5
< Memory Module 2 >
Model: 88F5HDL0-1UDG
Type: 512MB DDR-SDRAM
Technology: 16x(32Mx8)
Speed: PC3200U 3.0-3-3-8
Version: 1.1
Date of Manufacture: Wednesday, November 14, 2159
Set Timing @ 200MHz: 3.0-3-3-8

Thanks in advance,
