Ok I'm trying to come up with an idea so that the window fan on my case panel can be powered and so it plugs in somehow to the rest of the case for easy on off without having to open it a crack then read my hand in and un plug it...because obviously IM trying to hide the chord and don;t want tons of slack cable hanging down all the time. I saw a mod awhile back where a guy wired a phone jack splitter and phone jack extender to align with each other when he put is side pannel back on....anyone have any other ideas on how to do this?
found the how to I was talking about.

You don't want to use a headphone jack because they short out as they're plugged in and the result would be your power supply turning off as the side panel is removed or installed.
You could however use RCA jacks in precisely placed project boxes.
Edit: Ah, he meant PHONE jack (RJ11).

Your solution will depend on how your case panel attach. Some use slide lock tabs, some hinge-lock. Alternatively you could always externalize the power connection for the fan in some way.

The headphone jack mod you speak of should only be done when the computer is off, because:they short out as they're plugged in and the result would be your power supply turning off as the side panel is removed or installed.
why cant you just have some very neatly placed, LONGER, sleeved wires? I know I can get my whole arm in my case until I have to unplug anything.

yeah maybe I will just xetend the length and do it as clean as possible...im not crazy on that RJ11 solution...it;s creative but it just says short to me....and last think I want is to hear a pop and a funny smell. Just looking for alternatives really

Like I said, alot of people use RCA jacks because they're non-shorting (provided you make the inner prong the positive contact) and easy to insert/unplug.

Adding one of those as an external 12V power terminal would open up a whole variety of add-on device options.
