VSA-100 is crap by today's standards yes, but before the V4 and V5 came out, Quantum3D saw it's potential. Q3D was always the extreme of the extreme when it came to graphics cards and sub-systems. They placed 16 VSA-100 GPUs on a single, full-length AGP card if I remember correctly. It too had 128MB. These things are rarer than the V5 6000 because Q3D didn't sell them for very long before going back to professional graphics. If I remember correctly the card used over 1KW of electricity, whatever it was, it was a huge amount of electricity.
Q3D has some new products out as well, check these out. Pre-built powerhouse suitcase PC:

Colectable?, perhaps.
A performer?, I'd say call voodoo but they were wiped out by nvidia; so I think it's safe to say it wasn't earth shattering, otherwise they'd worked through this phase to get these cards to market.

This card was made about a year ago, the performance can't be all that good.
Most of the attraction of this is there was only 50 made....
however, that alone would not make me buy it...!!!
Also people are die hard voodoo fans and I know a couple of people willing to pay 1000 for them! I think somebody should start making them again for a 1000 each you could buy two 5500 strip them adn make a new board to hold them. I am surprised Nvidia didn't come up with this plan. I just wish I could have one for bragging rights!

Why stop at 2 5500's? how about one with 20 chips, and a half gig of RAM?

that is one hugeass card, lol
with it blocking most all airflow and those 4 fans blowing hot air into that enclosed space would create a convection oven effect, hmm an idea

I just thought I would take mine out and give you a closer look.

Woow I am intrigued by this card just cause of the way it is built and what it represents?? some cool technology, yeah it may be a tiny bit outdated but I am sure glde games must be awesome and overall the card must be fast.
Would it be smoked by todays cards?/ I have heard it would be on par with a g3, true??
Cisco Kid:D
That thing is huge... I wouldn't pay 2000 for that even if it is a collectable... ... better things to spend it on.. and fs 4 GPU'S?! damit :)
from what ive heard, in a lot of cases it is on par with a gf3.
plus something else....8x FSAA:) and we all know how good the v5 FSAA is.....
